LOCALLY MADE
ETHICALLY SOURCED
Real ingredients, delicious taste.
There are many fillers that chocolate makers and chocolatiers use to make their chocolate look smoother/ shinier and make it easier to work with and pour into moulds.
We intentionally choose to leave these out- we'd much prefer clean, delicious chocolate that looks a little less picture perfect than include ingredients that (while would make our lives easier!) don't sit well with our morals and values.
No seed oils, emulsifiers, soy lecithin, preservatives- just pure, clean delicious chocolate.
Here at Yamba Chocolate Co, we're passionate about what goes into our chocolate blocks- and maybe even more passionate about what doesn't go into them.
Bean to bar.
What does that actually mean?
It means we start with chocolate in it's simplest form- the cacao bean. It's quite a process but we hope you can agree with us when we say that the extra effort is absolutely worth it! I hand select each bean before slow roasting, cracking, grinding, blending and experimenting with different quality and clean ingredients. The whole process takes around 64 hours and you can definitely taste the difference.
Chocolate maker, family man, terrible surfer …
Kieran didn’t provide input for what to write in this section, so I’ll take this moment to tell you what I really think. Kieran is genuinely one of the nicest humans you’ll ever meet. He’s got a heart of gold, a cheeky attitude and honestly- some pretty terrible jokes.
He does make up for the awful jokes by making the best chocolate I’ve ever tasted though, and he’s passionate about it not only being the best tasting, but also the cleanest chocolate available (see below us for a little more on that!).He’s a family man and brave enough to be following his dreams and passions, which is something I admire. By supporting this business, you’re paying bills and putting food on the table of a family that genuinely cares, so thanks for being here.
